Royal Scot was a private country club built in 1971 by a group of members that once belonged to Shorewood Golf Course. Shorewood was forced to develop 9 of their 18 holes into parking needs for the University of Wisconsin Green Bay. Their members, wanting to play an 18 hole golf course, purchased property a few miles away from the campus and built what is now known as Royal Scot. Over the years and some changes in ownership, Royal Scot turned into a public golf course. Larry and Joy Rand acquired Royal Scot in 1988.
