Pulpit Rock Brewing Company

The idea of starting a craft brewery surfaced during a family vacation in the summer of 2013. We've all been involved in the business world for many years. We know our spreadsheets and our PE ratios. But the idea of starting a family business around something we love has been kicking around for awhile. When we combined that entrepreneurial streak with our love of craft beer, well, a brewery and tap room just seemed like a natural. So after many months of research, planning, and collaboration, Pulpit Rock Brewing Co. went from dream to reality.

The easiest decision? Our location. Decorah is a small college town with a big heart and wonderful people. All four of our Founders graduated from Luther College, so in a way coming back to Decorah feels like coming home. What better place to start our dream business?

And the name? It's a nod to Decorah's Nordic heritage. Plus, it makes a really cool logo.
