About Us:
Pond Hill Farm is located 5 miles North of downtown Harbor Springs on Scenic M 119.(Tunnel of Trees)
We are located on a sharp 90 degree left turn just before the 5 mile creek school house and we are
1 mile north of the main entrance to Birchwood Farms Country Club.
Pond Hill is in northwest lower Michigan. Some of our neighboring towns include Petoskey, Boyne City,
Mackinaw City and Charlevoix.
The farm is open to the public and is a great place to bring the family for a fun filled farm experience.
During the winter we offer canned goods and wine gift boxes Christmas trees, handmade wreaths, garland, and ground pots. Join us for Winter Fest weekends the weekend of Thanksgiving as well as the following Saturday and Sunday from noon-4pm. Enjoy winter hayrides, wreath decorating, ornament making, cookie decorating, visit with Santa, enjoy hot cocoa, and more!
Come back in the spring for all of your gardening needs. We carry a large selection of annuals, perennials, ground pots, flats, hanging baskets, and more!
The kids will love feeding the cows, pigs, sheep, chickens, and goose up in our Livestock Barn year-round. They will also fall in love with the Squash Rocket which is open from spring to late fall. It's a giant slingshot to sling squash out into the fields.
The Trout Pond is a must from Spring through Fall.The whole family will enjoy feeding the fish....watch out you will get splashed!
The farm market is filled with our very own pesticide and herbicide free produce, Sharon's Old Fashioned Canned Goods (canned onsite), organic dairy products, Pond Hill Natural Handmade Soaps, and a wide variety of other natural & organic items. Our canned goods can be shipped year round.Our biggest sellers include our Hot Garlic Pepper Jelly, Spicy Peanut Sauce, & Dilly Beans.
In the back room of the market you'll find The Milk Parlor Ice Cream shop. We serve locally made Velvet Ice Cream. Enjoy a cup, cone, or ice cream sundaes. It's open from June through mid-October.
Up in our event barn you will find our The Garden Cafe at Pond Hill. The cafe is run by head chef Scott Schornak. He uses our seasonal fresh produce, herbs, and meats to create amazing lunches. The menu includes appetizers, Black Angus Burgers, pulled pork burritos, homemade soups, hot dogs, veggie wraps, fresh salads, and more! Our most popular item is our Parmesan Crusted Grilled Cheese with Tomato and Basil and a side of Kale Slaw in our Spicy Peanut Sauce.The cafe is open from June through Oct. 30. We do offer a limited lunch menu year-round in our wine & beer tasting room. Catering from the Garden Cafe is available year round. Chef Scott also does in home catering using our wonderful ingredients. Visit our rental and private party page to view our catering menu.
Upstairs you will also find the tasting room of Harbor Springs Vineyards & Winery & Tunnel Vision Brewery. This tasting room has been built using wood harvested from right here on the farm and looks out at one of the farms terraced vineyards. Enjoy wine or beer tasting, by the glass, or wine bottles. The winery and brewery are open year-round from 11am-6pm. Stay in the tasting room for your wine and beer or ask for it to go. Feel free to wander the property with your drink to take in the scenery or enjoy a picnic.
A trip to the farm would not be complete without a walk up to our vineyard overlook. The view of Lake Michigan and the surrounding area is breathtaking. This spot is available for wedding ceremonies.
Hayrides are offered every weekend from Memorial Day through Oct. from noon-4pm. Private hayrides are available by appointment for $100/hour with a 1 hour minimum.
Pond Hill Farm is owned and operated by the Spencer Family. Mother Sharon, son Jimmy, his wife Marci, and their children Emma, JJ, and Lily. They also have the help of talented staff and interns.
