Point Ybel Brewing Company

Point Ybel Brewing Company is a small batch brewery giving new meaning to "island hopping."  Specializing in Pale Ales and IPAs, servicing Sanibel Island, Fort Myers Beach, Fort Myers and the surrounding area in Southwest Florida. Our brewery and tasting room where you can enjoy a brew or fill a growler to take home are now open to the public.  

Captain Walt and his wife Amy began what is now known as Point Ybel Brewing Company in the kitchen of their home on Sanibel Island, Florida.  After becoming frustrated with the lack of choice of good beer in southwest Florida, Walt decided to order a simple home brew kit and began his journey into the abyss of home brewing.  While extract brewing was a great way to start, they wanted to expand their brewing experience and ventured into the world of all grain brewing.  They purchased the state of the art commercial grade Brew-Magic system by SABCO with the idea that eventually, a small brewery/brew pub would be a great addition to the islands of Sanibel and Captiva.  After a little research, it became known that the City of Sanibel does not allow the manufacturing of beer for distribution so they settled on a space just off Sanibel Island in Fort Myers. Distribution to Southwest Florida's restaurants has begun!
