About Us:

Brewing is in my blood. My father was a brewer all his life, so my childhood passed playing hide and seek with friends in the brewery behind the big oak barrels. I couldn't wait to help my father with everything i could & as soon as I was able to, together with the other brewery staff, I unloaded the grain trucks, helped to mill the grain. I washed the equipment after each brewing, and I learned how to watch the fermentation process.

My father followed the classical ways beer of production & honoured the German Beer Purity Law named Reinheitsgebot. I was fascinated, and being the young man I read everything I could get my hands on about beer, In particular I learned about the history of beer. I was amazed that the process of production existed long before the German law on purity of beer and that it heralded all the way back to Egypt and the pharaohs! So that was it. I'd found my calling. but more than that, I wanted to experiment, mix all with everything to receive new taste, new colors, new aromas. Everything I'd read about & everything I'd learnt.

In those days, where we lived, getting exotic ingredients was extremely difficult. We were limited to three types of malt & five types of hops. More so, my father bore a personal responsibility to government (who owned the brewery) for all ingredients, therefore no experiments Were allowed. So, growing into a young man my only goal, was to continue in my fathers footsteps. BUT in my own way! I started travelling when I was 18 years old. To meet new people to study new ways of beer production, new grades, new ideas. I took brewing lessons from some of Europe's finest Brewers, Some things were new to me, some i knew before, some were so new they amazed me! But deep down I know one recipe precisely: what books wouldn't write And as if didn't systematize knowledge each Brewer makes the unique beer. Even if it is about the same beer made from identical ingredients. Because each brewer has his own pasion, soul, and energy, which he use in a brewing process.

So, as I said, this is story of passion, a history of a simple brewer, written in the present. A story of twenty years of searching & experiments, searches of new tastes & aromas, acquaintances, disputes, loves, losses, new ideas & travel throughout the world. It's about my desire to share the positive energy & vision of the art of brewing and is now taking physical shape in the form of this company which carries my fathers name.
