About Us:

Jorgensen first opened its doors on December 6, 1955, when its inaugural concert featured the Boston Symphony Orchestra with Conductor Charles Munch. It quickly sold out. In a review of Jorgensen’s opening night, The Hartford Courant wrote, “Something magnificent was born in Storrs”, which appeared in the paper the next day.

Jorgensen Circle of Friends :

In order to fulfill Jorgensen’s mission of excellence, while keeping tickets affordable, it relies on donations and the membership contributions of Jorgensen’s Circle of Friends. Please help Jorgensen continue to bring world-class entertainment to the University of Connecticut by becoming a member today. Jorgensen’s Circle of Friends enjoy many benefits, including advanced ticket sales, ticket exchange, acknowledgement in the playbill, AND an exclusive invitation to a post-performance reception to meet performers.
