Consider the role that Bob Dylan has played in American popular culture over more than six decades.
About the Event
In the more than sixty years since he recorded his first album, Bob Dylan has been seen as a genius and an inspiration by many; at the same times others dismiss him as "they guy who could never sing". During this session we will discuss the role that Dylan had in the social change of the 1960s and highlight his musical accomplishments since (which continue to this very day). We will analyze ways that Dylan's music has transcended traditional rock/folk/popular music and why in 2016 he won the Nobel Prize in Literature.
