Hill Country Youth Orchestras

Mission and Vision:

The Hill Country Youth Orchestras (HCYO) nurture, encourage, and assist young musicians by sharing the love and joy of music through instruction, concert performances and community service. It is HCYO’s position that an unlimited and early exposure to the beauty and design of music fosters lifelong recognition of the importance of art. This organization is an outreach ministry of the First United Methodist Church of Kerrvillein celebration of God’s gift of music.
We:

• Emphasize string instruments in early instruction while incorporating woodwinds, brass, and percussion in the more experienced groups.
• Encourage private lessons through scholarships.
• Provide affordable instrument rental when available.

About Us:

The Hill Country Youth Orchestras consist of four ensembles allowing students to progress from a very beginning ensemble experience to advanced orchestra repertoire.
