Mission

The steps necessary to unite our two popular Essex organizations legally are well underway. A draft of a new set of bylaws has been presented to the two existing Boards of Directors, and both groups will be registered as a 501(c)(3) organization under the new name. For the first year the new Executive Board will include a vice president from the Historical Society, and by next spring a new, inclusive Board of Directors will be formed. Your membership in the newly formed group will entitle you to participate in all the old familiar activities of each, as well as some new, exciting adventures planned for the future.
