Jack E. Dawson was born in 1950 and became interested in art at a very early age. By the age of 20 he had produced several significant works including a 30-foot statue entitled, The Praying Hands, which is located in his hometown of Webb City, Missouri. Jack has used many media over the years including watercolor, oil, acrylic and sculpture. Jack is currently serving as a Sunday School teacher and deacon at the church he attends, and combining his artistic ability with his desire to teach. Jack’s career in art has spanned over 30 years and his principal purpose has been to spread the message of Jesus Christ through his work.
Jack and his wife Nancy launched Bittersweet Gallery over 20 years ago. In 1999 Jack began painting what is now known as "The Seek and Find Series." They felt that these works should not stay "tucked away" in his studio. With the help of their children, they began marketing his prints to stores and through the internet. The sale of Jack’s artwork has grown and is now available in gift shops and retail stores across the country.
