AARP Eye Center
Mission
ACLT's mission is threefold:
"We promote land conservation throughout Calvert County, Maryland. We provide environmentally sustainable public access to our preserved properties for educational, scientific, recreational and cultural purposes. We protect the natural and cultural resources of the Parkers Creek and Governors Run watersheds for the benefit of this and future generations."
In plain English:
- We preserve land and assist others in the preservation of their land;
- We connect people with the land by allowing the public to use our trails, by inviting the public on guided canoe trips, by hosting social and educational events, and by offering volunteers the opportunity to help us care for the land; and
- We manage the lands we have preserved to ensure that the natural and cultural resources they contain continue to be protected.
