‘Luminous Life’ Event to Empower African American Women

We are very excited to announce that AARP’s Office of Community Engagement is bringing Luminous Life, a transformative campaign designed to empower African American women ages 45–65 through curated resources in hair care, health, and wealth management, to Milwaukee on Oct. 25.

The signature event will be held at the Urban Ecology Center in Milwaukee, bringing together experts, influencers, and community leaders to celebrate wellness, financial empowerment, and cultural pride.

“Luminous Life is more than an event – it’s a movement,” said Amber Miller, Senior Associate State Director, Outreach at AARP Wisconsin. “We’re creating space for Black women to be seen, heard, and supported in every aspect of their lives.”

  • Curated selection of hearty appetizers throughout the event.

  • Live Panel Discussions with Experts in Hair, Health & Wealth
