Arrange flowers to take home and to gift to those living in skilled nursing.
You - by yourself or with a guest - are invited to join us for a free educational experience about flowers/flower arranging and more! If you are bringing a guest be sure to include their information at the "Register Guest" button and then look for their name in your confirmation email to make sure they are registered.Attendees will create arrangements with guidance from local Garden Club members, with some arrangements gifted as a group gift to a local skilled nursing facility and hospital staff. Gifting arrangements to fellow community members increases social connections for everyone, playing an integral role in community health and well-being.
SOAR Together trademarked the concept of “flower rescue,” in 2024, which mirrors the model of food rescue through partnerships with area grocers. Flowers that would otherwise end up as waste in landfills are cut/cleaned/refreshed and used in SOAR’s signature Flower Power program to help uplift both those who create arrangements and those who receive them.
