Help Reduce Your Risk Amid Natural Disasters

Posted on 02/28/23 by The AARP Bulletin

AARP Oklahoma and the American Red Cross will present a telephone town hall on severe weather preparation Thursday, March 30, at 10 a.m.

Participants will learn how to reduce their risk before a storm and which agencies to call for assistance afterward. At least 45 tornadoes were reported in Oklahoma in 2022, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

In addition to helping communities be prepared, AARP works in disaster situations to provide important information about available disaster aid to older residents and their families.

Go to aarp.org/ok to register for the telephone town hall. You will receive a phone call shortly before the event begins.
