AARP invests $69K in community projects through 2024 Community Challenge Grants
In June, AARP announced seven organizations throughout North Dakota will receive 2024 Community Challenge grants totaling $69,000. The grants are part of AARP’s largest investment in communities to date with $3.8 million awarded among 343 organizations nationwide.

AARP filed to intervene on behalf of residential customers in Xcel Energy’s proposal to increase residential natural gas rates in 2024. The proposed rate increase would raise monthly bills by 12.5% or $6.75 per month for residential customers.

Help us make positive change for North Dakotans 50 and older — join our Advocacy Team! The A-Team is a diverse group of volunteers playing a key role in our mission to lead positive social change. As a member of the A-Team you might:
- Visit elected officials to discuss legislation
- Write letters to the editor
- Track and take action curing state legislative sessions
- Educate other AARP members on key issues
- Participate in monthly calls and regular face-to-face meetings to stay informed about AARP-led state and federal advocacy efforts
