AARP Maine and the American Red Cross of Northern New England, "Be Red Cross Ready" Trainings.
AARP Maine Is Teaming Up with the American Red Cross to host volunteer trainings. Become a trained “Be Red Cross Ready” volunteer and help others in your community learn important safety tips, access tools and resources, and prepare for and respond to emergencies.
AARP Maine and the Red Cross launched this new initiative to promote emergency preparedness for volunteers to learn and share in their own communities. In this three-hour training that we have divided into two 90-minute sessions, you’ll learn safety tips, tools, and resources to prepare for and respond to emergencies.
Date: April 9th and 10th, 2024
Time: 1 - 2:30 PM on both dates.*
Venue: Zoom (Registrants will be provided the zoom link upon completion of registration).
* You must attend on both dates in order to complete the course.
Registration is free, but required. Click here to register.
Our goal is for training graduates to seek opportunities to deliver these same presentations in their own communities and to share the provided resources with other organizations and local residents.
- Please note that trainees will need to sign up as both AARP Maine and Red Cross volunteers. Details will be provided upon registering.
