AARP PA & Mural Arts Philadelphia Experiential Painting Activity 9/17/21
Do you love Art? Join AARP PA & Mural Arts Philadelphia for an Experiential Painting Activity on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts Historic Landmark Building, 118 N. Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19102, from 10 am to 12 pm ET. 10 am to 12 pm ET. Representatives from Mural Arts Philadelphia will work with participants on painting 6’ x 2’ banners on parachute cloth, (think of a large paint-by-numbers), which is the material used by Mural Arts to create murals throughout the City.
This activity gives a sense of the mural-making process and offers participants an interesting perspective on community involvement in projects. The artwork was inspired by our tagline – Beautify. Inspire. Empower. The completed banners will eventually be donated to a school or recreation center in the City, confirming the value of this truly unique community service opportunity and experience in the Mural Capital of the World
This event is FREE, but registration is REQUIRED.
