Arrange flowers to take home and to gift to those living in skilled nursing.
You - by yourself or with a guest - are invited to join us for a multigenerational creative and uplifting flower arranging workshop. This workshop has limited seating. If you are bringing a guest be sure to include their information at the "Register Guest" button and then look for their name in your confirmation email to make sure they are registered.At the Flower Power workshop participants will create and gift flower arrangements during an immersive dialoguing about the power and importance of social connection to assuage feelings of disconnect and improve outlooks and outcomes.
Participants will create arrangements for themselves, or to gift those in their own lives in need of uplifting, as well as create arrangements as a group gift to a local skilled nursing facility to help those contending with social isolation.
SOAR Together trademarked the concept of “flower rescue,” in 2024, which mirrors the model of food rescue through partnerships with area grocers. Flowers that would otherwise end up as waste in landfills are cut/cleaned/refreshed and used in SOAR’s signature Flower Power program to help uplift both those who create arrangements and those who receive them.
