AARP Eye Center

Make new friends while kickstarting your walking habit with AARP MT’s NeighborWalk group. This 6-week program will include Helena-area walking trails. For all ages and abilities.
Would you like a little encouragement and a nudge to begin….or continue a walking routine?
It can be hard to get motivated to incorporate regular exercise or movement into our schedules. Maybe joint pain, arthritis, or a recent surgery have prevented you from walking regularly.
We have a solution!
You can join our NeighborWalk group and add walking to your routine in a way that is safe and comfortable for you. NeighborWalk is a fun and safe way to establish a walking habit with a social connection.
AARP membership not required.
NeighborWalk is designed for people of all ages and all abilities and is s based on the Arthritis Foundation’s national Walk With Ease Program. You’ll receive the Walk With Ease Participant Guidebook as a NeighborWalk participant.
Although this program is designed primarily for those who don’t yet have a walking routine, if you already walk regularly, it could be fun to join this group to add a social connection to your fitness routine.
This is Week 2 of AARP Montana’s FREE, 6-week walking program.
The April 24 NeighborWalk session, led by AARP Volunteers, will meet this week at Spring Meadow Lake to walk, and then back to the Carousel for ice cream. Subsequent sessions will meet at various area trails and then conclude with discussion and ice cream at the Carousel.
At AARP Montana, we think that a healthy lifestyle can help us all to deal with the daily stress of living.
