About the Event
To help you prepare for Medicare enrollment, AARP Ohio is collaborating with the Ohio Senior Health Insurance Information Program (OSHIIP) and the nonprofit Pro Seniors to alert you to the danger of Medicare fraud and share tips on how to avoid it. You will also have an opportunity to ask questions.
The presentation will cover:
- A brief overview of Medicare.
- How to detect, report and prevent Medicare fraud, errors and abuse.
- Scams that have been showing up lately and how to protect yourself.
- How to use a Health Care Tracker and why.
- Who to call for information about Medicare options and who to call if you think you’ve experienced Medicare fraud, errors or abuse.
