The Winthrop Performing Arts Center is a dream come true for the Winthrop Community. Through the commitment and hard work of the members of the Winthrop Education Corporation and the Winthrop School System, the town of Winthrop was able to add a performing arts center to the construction of the new high school.Winthrop Performing Arts Center has been used daily since its completion in October 2003. The high school uses it for classes in theatre, school meetings, concerts, and special events. The community is joining in the fun as word gets around that it is open and available. Community events have included Kennebec Performing Arts Company's Christmas Concert and Songs for Life.
