Windy Hill Farm

About Us:

Windy Hill Farm is a diverse horticultural operation serving Berkshire, Litchfield and Columbia counties and consisting of a 7 acre apple orchard, a 1 acre blueberry field, 8 acres of field-grown specialty ornamental nursery stock, a retail garden center, and a full service landscape department.

Our farm was started in 1980 as a part-time venture on an abandoned dairy farm by Dennis and Judy Mareb, and was ready to open to the general public in 1986. Dennis attended both the Stockbridge School of Agriculture and the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, graduating in 1974 with a Bachelors Degree in Ornamental Horticulture. Windy Hill Farm incorporated in 1996 and continues to be family owned and operated.

For 28 years, it has been our philosophy to offer only the finest in shade, specimen and flowering trees; ornamental shrubs; interesting conifers and broadleaf evergreens; tree fruits, small fruits, espaliered apples, pears and Asian pears; hardy shrub roses; vines, choice perennial and ornamental grasses. We remain committed to seek, grow and offer the traditional favorites, including native species as well as cultivars and selections from the United States and abroad.

Windy Hill Farm is nestled in the beautiful Berkshire Hills of western Massachusetts. Whether you are looking for a landscape consultation, design and installation, a rare specimen plant, advice on home orchard and small fruit design, or simply want to enjoy a family day picking our blueberries or apples, we invite you to visit our farm for a unique horticultural experience.
