About Us:

Way Off Broadway has been a leader in the area's performing arts community since it first opened its doors in late 1990 as Keynote Dinner Theatre. In 1995, with a new set of owners, the curtain rose for the first time on The Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre with its inaugural production, Let the Good Times Roll. Less than an hour from DC, Baltimore, and Gettysburg, Way Off Broadway combines both fine dining and first class live entertainment. Way Off Broadway is also the only theatre in Western Maryland producing its own productions 52 weeks a year. In 1996, Way Off Broadway opened its wildly popular Children's Theatre - which remains the only one of its kind to this day - ensuring entertainment for all ages in the region. Over the years, the theatre has continued to bring larger scale productions to the stage while still providing guests with the one-on-one service they have come to know.

In 2002, the Kiska Family purchased the theatre with a desire to expand the theatre and its operations. Since then, the theatre has become known for producing many area and/or regional premiere productions such as Neil Simon's The Goodbye Girl - The Musical, Jerry Herman's La Cage aux Folles, The Wedding Singer, Mel Brooks' The Producers, All Shook Up, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, and The Drowsy Chaperone. In addition to its Mainstage and Children's productions, Way Off Broadway presents a number of special event throughout the year.
