Wapsie Ridge Golf Course

2652 Vine Avenue
Fairbank, IA 50629

319-638-4653

History:

The 9-hole Wapsie Ridge Golf Course was built during the “great flood” of 1993. Designed by Dan Niebuhr and constructed by his father Loren, Dan, brothers Kevin and Mike, and with help from numerous friends & relatives. Battling year long rain and flooding in 1993, the entire construction process was still completed in less than 8 months! Play began in August 1994 and the clubhouse was also built that year.

Located in rural Fairbank, Iowa, the layout is scenic, challenging, yet fair for golfers of all skill levels. The course is fully irrigated and finely manicured. Greens are large, receptive, and undulating, where your putts will roll true and FAST. There are 4 sets of tees ranging from 2688 yards from the Red’s to 3500 yards from the Black’s (that’s 7000 yards for 18 holes !!)

We are a semi-private club, having full memberships with public golfers always welcome. No tee times are required. Monday evening is Men’s League, we have a Tuesday morning league at 9:00 am, Tuesday evening is Ladies League, Wednesday evening is Men’s Night, and on Friday evenings Couples have tee priority. All other times are generally open golf.

The current owners, Anne and Dan Niebuhr, along with Clubhouse Manager Shirley Riggle and the entire staff are exited to be “reinventing” the business and operation. We have a well equipped clubhouse to serve you for golfing or event rentals, a large practice green, an expansive driving range, and a single family housing development is now under way.
