Mission Statement for Vessel Studio Gallery :

Vessel Studio Gallery's mission is to provide an environment which enables clay artists to create works of art that touch move and inspire. In addition VSG provides a rich learning environment in which any individual can begin and continue to increase knowledge of clay and its possibilities.

History :

Vessel Studio Gallery was created in August 2003. We very much wanted to have a clay studio. What we found was a space with a huge front window ideally situated on a busy street within Culver City. Eureka we could incorporate a gallery also!

At the same time as our search for a gallery a number of fellow clay workers expressed their desire to also have a nice private space in which to work. There was also interest from friends, family and those we talked to in the community for classes.

The blend of Studio / Gallery / Classes all combine to make a dynamic clay-working space.
