About Us:
Our vineyard was laid out in the fall of 2004 with the first vines being planted in the spring of 2005. The family came out and helped plant over 2,000 vines primarily of Chardonnay and Cabernet Franc grapes. Since then, we've planted Dornfelder vines as an additional red wine grape and are thrilled with its complexity. This past year we added Riesling and Petite Verdot to the vineyard with plans to continue to expand the vineyard and our wine production each year.
History:
Verona Vineyards in Verona, Kentucky, is located on a beautiful, historic, working farm and is the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life. Whether you enjoy our wine in the cozy barn turned tasting room or on the patio watching the sunset over the vines, we know you will be able to relax, unwind, and forget the stresses of the day . The peaceful backdrop of the vineyard also makes a great location for special events such as weddings, corporate retreats, birthday celebrations and anniversary parties. We also host live music, private wine tasting and wine education classes in our tasting room. In addition to the winery the farm is home to the George-Vest house which was built in 1842 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
