Valley Gardens Golf Course

#1 A straight-forward 246 yd par 4 is a 2-shot hole for most,  however, ’Slicers’ be warned as a large lake looms just off of the tree line! Bunkers guard both sides of a relatively level green surface.

#2 Risk Reward. An accurate drive is key, bigger hitters can reach this green, however O.B. lingers on both sides.  This green slopes from back to front, so speed can be an issue when above the hole.

#3 The start of AMEN CORNER begins with the shortest hole on the course at 108 yards.  The large, two-tiered green is guarded by a large Ponderosa Pine tree, and although quite receptive, 3 putts are plentiful.  On the contrary, ‘Aces’ are not uncommon.

#4 Climb up to the tee box and enjoy the view of this 225 yard, par 3- the most difficult on the course.   Not only having the smallest, postage stamp-sized green on the course, it has proven to be both the least receptive as well as the fastest green on the course.  Often a bogey is not only accepted but often expected!

#5 Averaging between 175 and 190 yards this hole is also a brute.  Due it’s small putting surface, and greenside mounding, chip-shots can be challenging in attempts to save par and survive the stretch of 3 difficult holes.

#6 Bomb the driver if you dare as the opportunity is there. However, Out of Bounds looms to the right and the greenside lake is a mere 230 yards away.   The signature hole is 260 yards and requires two accurate shots to reach home –for most.

#7 225 yards uphill, par-4 is reachable for longer hitters, however, requires perfection.  The two-tiered green is heavily guarded by a large Ponderosa Pine, one ‘deep’ bunker, and one ‘pot’ bunker.  Beginners will certainly be intimidated by the tee shot which requires a short carry over small lake.

#8 A favorite hole to many, this lengthy par 3 plays 170 yards from the back tees and is guarded by a large, deep, green-front bunker which the player must carry to reach the putting surface.  A difficult chip-shot looms for those that miss the green.

#9 A short hole at 118 yards can play a shorter distance as it is slightly downhill.  Guarded by a greenside bunker this hole requires a patient stroke which can yield a well-deserving finishing  ‘par’ or even ‘birdie’.
