Union Street Dog Park

708 Chapel Street
New Haven, CT 06501

History:
Friends of Wooster Square (FOWS), along with New Haven Parks Department, and many generous neighbors and businesses, established the Union Street Dog Park in September 2012. We raised over $17,000 from neighbors and friends to make the park a reality.

Dog owners and non dog owners alike have reinvigorated this section of Wooster Square the entrance to our neighborhood from downtown.

The Union Street Dog Park provides hundreds of local dog owners with the benefit of a clean and safe off-leash area where their pets can exercise and socialize. It is also a centerpiece of urban renewal and community-building in downtown New Haven.
