Treos Wines is located in the Southwest of the Willamette Valley in Oregon. The hillsides that sustain and support Treos wines tell the tales of time. Our wines are the expression of three families' love of land, family and friends, wine and life. Drawing from time-honored winemaking techniques, while embracing quality-enhancing innovations, these small-batch, handcrafted wines capture the unique and distinctive character of the southern Willamette Valley.
We hope our wines will create enjoyment and memories in each occasion they accompany. Our goal is to create memorable wines for celebrations of life with friends and loved ones. In 2007, we started planting grapevines on a superb location with good soils, slope, situation to make a great wine.Wines of stature start in the vineyard.
There is no shortcut for sustainable farming practices, the right wine grape clones, and the timing and accuracy of viticulture practices that are enabled by daily care. Years of patient experiments have led us to understand the importance of minimal crop yields that garner an improved flavor of pinot noir and muscat wines. One bottle of wine per pinot noir vine, several times lower than most other growers, is the ratio we have chosen to bring you a memorable wine.
Hand inspection of each bunch of grapes ensures the wine is not tainted by mold, immature grapes and off flavors. Selected French yeasts enhance the specific grape flavors; we are fastidious about cleanliness and oxygen management in our traditional wine-making process. Most importantly we understand life is not static; it requires continual studying, questioning and testing to continually improve.
Treos began with a love of land, wine, family and friends. These elements inform all that we do, from tending vines in sweltering heat, to inviting friends and family to share in the valley's bountiful harvest. In our work we draw from time-honored French winemaking traditions, while also embracing innovation and learning. Our wines are a celebration of life they define moments in time and honor the land and people who make this all possible. It's a grand adventure and we all embrace what it brings for today and for the future. Sante!
