Tondre Alarid and his son Joe Tondre have a steadfast belief that with hard work and a little luck things will work out.  With nearly a century of farming in the Salinas Valley, Monterey County, California between them, they know what it's like to be in partners with Mother Nature...and they get along fine. The great blessing is that Tondre Grapefield lies firmly in the heart of the Santa Lucia Highlands Appellation, fast becoming a world-class region for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.  Joe and family continue to live on the ranch where they nurture and raise their grapes 24/7.  It is a way of life for them and their family.
