The venue will now be known as Time Warner Cable Amphitheater at Tower City. The downtown amphitheater is owned by Forest City Enterprises. Live Nation is the exclusive concert booker and promoter of the amphitheater. The first concert attraction at Tower City Amphitheater featured Alice Cooper on October 6, 2001. The full inaugural concert season kicked off on April 24, 2002 with Sum 41 and Good Charlotte. At that time, local promoter Clear Channel Entertainment/Belkin Productions was the official and exclusive concert promotion organization for the amphitheater. Clear Channel Entertainment/Belkin Productions was renamed Live Nation effective January 9, 2006.
