214 W Stephen Foster Ave
Bardstown, KY 40004

502-348-6488

In 1980 Thomas Merton Books was begun, at the request of the Abbey of Gethsemani, as an adjunct to the Bardstown Art Gallery. The gallery, open since 1971, is conveniently located for anyone visiting the monastery. The books and gallery are housed in a 1930's Arts & Crafts bungalow at 214 West Stephen Foster Ave.

After 28 years we are pleased to be offering the most extensive selection of books by and about Merton in the country. We also carry a miscellaneous section which includes books by other authors writing on spirituality, contemplation, mysticism, etc.
