Theatre Huntsville

History

We are an all-volunteer, non-profit 501(c)3 performing arts organization, staging from six to eight high-quality theatrical productions each year. Our shows rely totally on local actors, technicians, artists, and a host of other volunteers from the Huntsville-Madison County-Tennessee Valley area.

Our six "main stage" shows are presented in the 332-seat Von Braun Center Playhouse. Each show runs two weekends with a total of seven performances (two of which are matinées). We also stage some performances, such as our popular "Shakespeare on the Mountain," at other area venues.

Theatre Huntsville is a member-based organization. Our Board of Directors is elected annually from the membership. Committees, drawn from the membership, conduct or maintain our policies, procedures, strategic planning, and day-to-day operations.

In real life, our members are writers, doctors, engineers, students, teachers, artists, environmentalists, accountants, construction workers...in short, they're YOU!
