The Philadelphia Doll Museum is an educational and cultural resource institution, dedicated to preserving doll history and culture by presenting the art of doll making and collecting through seminars and lectures

About Us:

The Philadelphia Doll Museum is the only African American Doll Museum in the nation.  The Philadelphia Doll Museum emphasizes the collection of black dolls as artifacts of history and culture.

There are over 500 black dolls in the collection that present visual images of how black people were perceived throughout world history. The collection includes African, European, American Folk & manufacturered Dolls. The museum also maintains a fine collection of renowned doll artist, Roberta Bell.
