The Open Eye Theater

MISSION

The Open Eye Theater is dedicated to creating, developing, and producing plays for a diverse audience in the Catskill Mountains; providing children, youth and adult artists-in-training with quality hands-on education and theater arts experience. It is further dedicated to developing a new theater audience in the villages of the Catskill Mountains.

The Open Eye Theater program includes a Main Stage Season, a Rehearsed Readings Series, after school and summer Youth Theater Workshops, occasional weekend workshops, and other special events. A unique feature of these programs is the opportunity for local young people and adults to study, rehearse, and perform with guest professional theater artists and top playwrights in the field of theater for young and family audiences.
