About Us:

The Chablis Gallery is conveniently located in historic downtown Placerville, California.Located about half way between Lake Tahoe and Sacramento, California, one block off Highway 50 in Placerville, an old historic gold rush town. . The gallery is housed in a beautifully renovated old building. The first building on that site dated back to 1851 and was the 49er Corner Saloon. Placerville is a quaint but rapidly growing community in the Sierra foothills east of Sacramento and is rapidly becoming a must see haven for serious art collectors, with numerous quality galleries and studios.

Owners, Ted and Joyce Amlick, have lived in the area for about 18 years and had been waiting for just the right time and location to open a gallery. Both are lovers of fine art. Their accomplished staff includes Elaine Mattei, Connie Clyburn, and Marlene Urso.Chablis Gallery represents artists whose works include paintings in oil, pastel, watercolor, and pencil; sculptures in bronze and stone; glass creations; exquisite hand-thrown porcelain vases with metallic glazes, and carved and painted gourd art.The Chablis Gallery has hosted many fine events, including individual artists’ shows, a Kevin Sharp book signing, the International Association of Pastel Societies (IAPS) International show, and the Pastels on High International exhibit for the Sierra Pastel Society (SPS).Come visit Chablis Gallery and treat yourself to an array of original fine artwork.
