Sumter Farmer's Market

The Sumter Farmers Market Strategic Plan is: 

To educate consumers about farm products and the benefits of buying direct from local farmers and growers. 

To offer a venue for local artisans, bakers, crafters, food trucks and other approved vendors a place to sell their products.

To encourage local consumers to make healthy food choices by offering a family friendly, centrally located venue for both farmers and consumers to participate in.

Our Vision is: 

To provide access to healthy food choices to Sumter area consumers and the surrounding community.

Our Mission is: 

To support farmers and preserve farmland for the future by providing small family farmers opportunities to sell their fruits, vegetables and other farm products to area consumers.

The Sumter Farmers Market offers local area farmers, artisans, bakers, food trucks, and other vendors without a storefront, a venue to sell their products directly to the consumer. Our produce farmers grow a minimum of 75-80% of what they sell, and our livestock farmers humanely raise their animals on pasture with no antibiotics or added growth hormones.
