SCPA is dedicated to providing the finest classical training in the performing arts. Offering classes in dance, drama, music, and martial arts, the SCPA students are taught in a nurturing environment that fosters confidence and individual accomplishment as well as artistry and technique. Our students are people as well as artists in training. We place as much importance on the quality of character as we do the quality of the performing arts.

Located in the historic Tobacco Junction building, the spacious dance studios and music rooms provide the perfect environment to learn from SCPA's professional staff. Whether you want to learn for your own enjoyment, work towards a spot on the award-winning dance company, or seek a career in the performing arts. The benefits of an education in the performing arts are not soley the obvious ones of developing and mastering the skills that enable students to become accomplished artists. Throughout the studio students work hard and in the process develop confidence, self-respect, and a healthy work ethic. We watch them celebrate their accomplishments and those of others and weather their disappointments with honesty and dignity.


Stage Works Projects, Inc. is a non-profit organization which promotes the performing arts through outreach programs, scholarships for continuing education in the performing arts, and performance opportunities. It is through this effort to encourage freedom of expression bridging generations and cultures we add to the richness of life in Southern Wisconsin.


Stage Works projects believes that the arts are vital to rounding out a formal education. Our outreach programs introduce students to the "Lively Arts" and demonstrate that art is more than old paintings and broken statues but also movement, the spoken word, and music.

Scholarships are being established to aid students who wish to explore the performing arts. Awards will be based on need, talent, and desire.

Multi-generational casting is a fundamental aspect of our performances and affords performers and technical people of all ages the chance to work with, and learn from, each other. Younger members learn theatrical crafts from older, more experienced hands. The older members learn as well, re-capturing the energy, enthusiasm, and sense of wonder that the younger members bring with them.
