About Us:
We approach making wine differently than most folks, believing it is possible to provide for a future for our twins while also respecting and looking after other people's kids, too. We're less Our Familyconcerned with short-term profits and much more interested in creating long-term sustainability for ourselves, for our family, and for others.
By investing time into grower relations and selecting distinctive vineyards, we keep high the quality-to-value ratio while respecting and depending upon the personal involvement of the people who care about what they grow, pick, bottle, or sell; we go hunting for overlooked varietals and vineyards, making wines we like to drink--and which we hope others will, too. Wine can and should be a part of all facets of our lives--it's just a matter of finding the right wines for the times.
Equally, we believe in dreams for our family and for yours, and because you also have to stand for things that matter to you, we want our kids to see that hard work pays off, that you can follow your heart and make a future for your family, and that you can do so in a way that avoids doing harm to others whenever possible.
A portion of the sale of all our wine--5% of all gross revenue (NOT profit)--has been donated to educational organizations to provide college scholarships for the students of Napa and Sonoma Valleys so that the children of wine workers may have choices their parents did not. We believe in doing what's right--for our family, for your family, and for the families of unseen workers who were instrumental in the creation of this wine. The Stein family thanks you for your contribution to an improved future for all of our children. When we drink this wine, we toast to a more equitable future for all.
