About Us:

Owners Darrell and Sharon Haen purchased Star Orchard in July of 2013. The orchard was planted in 1962 by Darrell's parents, Jerome and Merzetha Haen, in partnership with Ken and Joan Haen, and Ivo and Carol Haen. Darrell's cousin, Don, purchased the orchard in 1975 and Sharon and Darrell were very happy to be able to purchase it from him
Darrell has good memories of his younger days at the orchard. He remembers playing in the flooded creek bed with his brothers. He also remembers helping prune trees in the winter, along with picking and grading apples in the autumn.
Our first picking season was wonderful. We met so many interesting people and are looking forward to September. Bring out the family. We'd love to meet you!
