Mission Statement

The Southern California Medical Museum interprets and preserves medical, pharmaceutical and dental artifacts and publications. Through its exhibits, publications, and programs, the museum stimulates, informs, and educates the general public, medical professionals and students concerning the history of health care with emphasis on Southern California and the West.

The goals of the museum are:

•To collect, preserve, exhibit, and interpret medical and health-related artifacts, with particular focus on artifacts significant to the history of health care in Southern California and the West.

•To present and interpret health-science and health-care innovations and issues (past, present and future) to the general public. 

•To offer lectures, programs and publications, etc., that will enhance the understanding of museum exhibits.
