The South Park region in central Colorado is well known for its long ranching history.  It also has a long brewing history which we are now honored to be a part of.  In the 1870s, the Leonhard Summer started the South Park Brewery in Fairplay also known as the Summer Brewery.  He brewed a South Park Lager that was famous throughout the area.  Another brewery, Trout Creek Brewery, opened in Fairplay in the 1990s, brewing excellent ales.

South Park Brewing opened in September 2014 started by husband and wife, Paul Kemp and Megan Sebastian.  They moved to the South Park area in 2006, falling in love with the natural beauty of the area.  Since Paul began brewing beer nearly the same time, they both felt there was a need to have a brewery in the Fairplay area.  After many years of business plans, searching locations, and perfecting beer recipes, the perfect opportunity arose with a great location and large enough space to grow the brewery.  We are located in the Rocky Top Plaza at the only stop light in Fairplay.  We are pleased to be the only brewery in Park County.
