South Arkansas Arboretum State Park

Intersection of N Timberlane Dr. and Mt. Holly Rd.
El Dorado, AR 71731

870-864-7160

This 12-acre wooded site adjacent to the former El Dorado High School site features plants native to Arkansas’s West Gulf Coastal Plain and exotic species including flowering camellias and azaleas. Managed by the South Arkansas Community College, the arboretum offers marked paved walking trails, a rental pavilion, rental gazebo, restrooms, and parking.

The South Arkansas Arboretum is dedicated to preserving the native, rare, and economically important flora of the West Gulf Coastal Plain region of the United States. The re-establishment of the Arboretum has created an environment where Arkansas’s natural beauty will be preserved for future generations of people to view, study, photograph, and enjoy.
