Seaside Nature Center

The Seaside Nature Center in Cape Henlopen State Park is open daily 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. from the day after Labor Day to mid-June; and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. from mid-June through Labor Day. The Nature Center is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays from November through March.

The Nature Center contains five 1,000-gallon tanks with local fish, a touch tank with marine invertebrates and exhibits that explain the different habitats within the park. Don't forget to take a look at the live Osprey Cam from April through August and shop the Nature Store.

The Nature Center is also the location of the Friends of Cape Henlopen State Park's free borrow-a-bike program. Bikes are available on a first-come, first-served basis, weather permitting, for 2 hours at a time, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily, on the days the Nature Center is open. Bikes must remain within the park and stay on the paved bike trail. For more information, call the Nature Center.
