About Us:

The first professional regional theatre in the history of Northeast Pennsylvania

Founded in 1978, Scranton Public Theatre has produced more than one hundred stage productions.  While Scranton Public Theatre calls Northeast Pennsylvania home, our productions have played to critical acclaim in Philadelphia, Harrisburg and Washington, D.C.

The mission of Scranton Public Theatre is to produce educational, original and important works that will stimulate, foster and channel creative performing arts in the region.  It is our goal to cultivate an atmosphere that will raise the cultural consciousness of our region through the professional development of the arts.
