The Sauk Prairie School District's River Arts Center was established in 2000 as a comprehensive cultural center. The partnership of the Sauk Prairie School District, River Arts, Inc., and the Sauk Prairie area community has worked to provide a place to present and appreciate the arts. With a 492 seat theatre, a gallery and meeting space, the Sauk Prairie School District's River Arts Center presents a wide variety of the arts, as well as serving as a place to host business and social events year round.

Located only 18 miles from Madison in the picturesque communities of Prairie du Sac and Sauk City, the Sauk Prairie School District's River Arts Center is only a few blocks from the downtowns. An evening of theatre or a visit to the gallery may be combined with a day of sightseeing in the scenic and historic area on the banks of the Wisconsin River.
