The award winning Saratoga Springs Youth Orchestra (SSYO)  is a string emsemble of talented musicians ages 13 - 25 years of age who are selected by rigorous audition. Musicians are accepted from high schools and colleges from throughought the Saratoga and Capital Regions.

SSYO rehearses weekly at the Waldorf School in Saratoga and performs 3-4 concerts per year at unique venues.  Under the direction of Conductor and Artistic Director, Maestro Gioacchino Longobardi the orchestra performs an interesting repertoire of rarely heard neapolitan, early baroque or romantic period classical music selections. This past July the orchestra represented the USA in the International Festival of Youth Orchestras in Florence Italy.  Additional international travel opportunities are being explored for this upcoming summer 2015.
