Conservation -Â To conserve rare and endangered plants and their ecosystems and to promote sustainable use of natural resources.
Plant Collections and Gardens -Â To collect beautiful, fascinating, and/or significant plants and display them in attractive gardens for recreation and learning.Â
Plant Evaluation, Introduction, and Cultivation -Â To evaluate, introduce, and cultivate plants, which exhibit horticultural value locally.Â
Education -Â To educate the public about plants and their vital role in human lives and in the natural environment.
Urban Retreat -Â To provide a peaceful setting for the public to experience nature's beauty.Â
Wildlife Sanctuary -Â To encourage the presence of indigenous wildlife.Â
Historic Preservation -Â To preserve significant historic plantings and structures in the Gardens.
