Mission
The mission of the San Bernardino Symphony is to present and maintain high quality, professional symphonic and classical music in the San Bernardino region to a diverse audience, and to foster an active music education program in the schools and in the larger community.

About us
The San Bernardino Symphony was founded in 1929 by Maestro James K. Guthrie, an internationally renowned conductor and community leader.

The Orchestra is one of the oldest and most prestigious in the Inland Empire. It was also the first fully professional ensemble of musicians in the region, boasting an unparalleled standard of musical performance under the dynamic leadership of its conductor, Maestro Carlo Ponti, Jr.

The San Bernardino Symphony holds its subscription concerts in the beautiful and historic California Theater right at many music lovers' doorstep in downtown San Bernardino . The Theater's unique design highlights the deep and rich sound of the SBSO giving audiences an unmatched concert-going experience.
