About the Salt Fork Arts and Crafts Festival
The Salt Fork Arts and Crafts Festival (SFACF) which is held at the Cambridge City Park in Cambridge, Ohio is a juried festival that showcases high-quality art in a variety of mediums such as, painting, pottery, ceramics, fiber art, metal work, jewelry, acrylics, mixed media, photography, and more.
Between 90 and 100 artists come from all over the U.S. for this 3-day event. Area students are given the opportunity to display their work, visitors are entertained throughout the weekend by a variety of talented performing artists, concessionaires offer satisfying foods, our Market Place offers foods made in Ohio and there are programs just for kids. 2019 marks the 50th Anniversary of The Salt Fork Arts and Crafts Festival and is one of Ohio's longest running festivals.
The SFACF is sponsored by the Ohio Arts & Crafts Foundation. The Foundation was created in 1968 to enhance and promote Ohio arts by fostering artistic creativity, expression, and education. Cultural enrichment, historical folk art, the performing arts and other fine arts exhibitions, demonstrations, instructions and performances are the cornerstone of the Foundation's focus.
The Ohio Arts and Crafts Foundation, sponsor of the Salt Fork Arts & Crafts Festival, is celebrating its 50th Festival this year. Cambridge City Park in Cambridge, Ohio has been the home of the Festival, and we'd like to say "thank you" to both the Park and the community for many wonderful years. The gateway would be a permanent structure that can be admired by many for years to come.
The project includes the creation of a patio, built-in seating, as well as restored street lamps.
The Gateway Project for the Park was designed by local artist Bob Jennings. The work to be accomplished is currently in the hands of Cambridge contractor Jack Warne Construction, and the decorative wrought iron work will be done by Michael LaPlante of Friesenger’s, Inc.
